About Me

Jessica Hays’ work focuses on human relationship, issues of mental health, loneliness, trauma, loss, and exploring places of healing in the landscape and their place in contemporary culture. She works in a variety of processes, including historic photo processes, experimental darkroom techniques, pigment printing, and handmade artist books. Born and raised inMontana, Hays is currently pursuing degrees in Photography and EnvironmentalStudies at Montana State University, where she also works as Director of Arts and Exhibits. Her work has been shown both regionally and nationally, included in multiple publications, and Hays has presented at conferences and events dealing with issues in art and mental health.
