About Me

Jessica L.Hays is a conceptual artist and photographer from Bozeman, Montana. Her workfocuses on human relationship to land, mental health, trauma, loss, and placesof healing. She works in a variety of processes, including alternative andexperimental photo processes, pigment printing, and handmade artist books. Bornand raised in Montana, Hays holds bachelor’s degrees in Photography and LiberalStudies from Montana State University and is an MFA candidate at ColumbiaCollege Chicago. Her work has been shown both regionally and nationally, and iscurrently on view in the 2021 Northwest Drawers at Blue Sky Oregon Center forthe Photographic Arts. Hays has lectured on topicsof mental health and alternative process photography at conferences and art events,and was shortlisted for the BarTur Environmental Award.
